ある日、きりもちを焼き忘れてしまい翌日まるで玉手箱を開けたかのように 
カピカピになった姿で「きりもち」が発見された。

そのとき発見されたきりもちは、明らかに元のきりもちではない何かであった。私のよく知るあのきりもちはどこに行ってしまったのか…
 

本作は、乾燥したきりもちに食欲を感じれなかった作者が、「なぜ食欲を感じなくなったのか、そもそも何に食欲を感じていたのか」疑問に思い、複数の視点から、きりもちを推理していく様子をテキストとオブジェクトで表したインスタレーション作品である。

One day, I forgot to toast a kirimochi.By the following day, it was discovered in a state so completely dried out that it felt as though a mythical treasure box had been opened.The kirimochi had become rigid and desiccated.The kirimochi found at that moment was clearly no longer the kirimochi it once was.

Where had the kirimochi I knew so well disappeared to?

This work is an installation composed of text and objects,
in which the artist—having found no appetite for the dried kirimochi—begins to question:why did it cease to feel appetizing, and what, to begin with, had I been finding appetizing at all?From multiple perspectives, the work traces a process of inference and speculation,

attempting to understand the kirimochi anew.
